Family Vision Care wants each patient to feel important. We strive to give you the best experience and service every time you come and see us.
Dr. Kibert Kato was born and raised in Mililani, Hawaii. After receiving his Bachelor of Arts with an emphasis in Zoology from the University of Hawaii @ Manoa, he graduate from the prestigious Pacific University College of Optometry in Forest Grove, Oregon in 2000. Dr. Kato founded Family Vision Care in 2002, so that he could provide the best one on one care to all of his patients. Dr. Kato is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Hawaii Optometric Association.
Dr. Sheri Kozohara (Office Manager) was born and raised in Hilo, Hawaii. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Hawaii @ Manoa, she graduated from the prestigious Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Elkins Park, Pennsylvania in 2000. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Hawaii Optometric Association. She also happens to be Dr. Kato's wife.
Liz (Optometric Assistant), who has been with us since 2005 is very knowledgeable about our practice. One of her amazing attributes is that she remembers many of our patients by name. Liz enjoys talking story with all our patients, making them feel like an old friend. She also understands Ilocano.
Jess (Optometric Assistant) has been with us since 2010. She is very friendly & personable. She always has a smile on her face and is eager to help you. Her sense of style will help you with picking the right eyeglasses and sunglasses to best suit you.
Mel (Optometric Assistant) has been with us since 2011. She brings with her 6 years of experience working for an ophthalmologist. Mel is a hard worker and is dedicated to doing a good job with all our patients. She also speaks Tagalog and Bicol fluently.
